Hello Disney World!

Sometimes I honestly have to pinch myself!  We are so lucky to live in central florida and have all the theme parks right here!  We are super lucky that my dad works at Disney and can get us in!!  :)
Jason's brother Nate, his wife Kara, and their son Aiden are in the states for a couple months.  They are currently living in Thailand!  So their last trip to the states Florida was not on the agenda but this year since Aiden is bigger and can actually enjoy the attractions we made the list!! We were super happy and made sure to make it worth their wild so they will have to come again!!! (sneaky i know!)  They were here for a full week and we shoved central florida down their throats!  I am going to break this into two different blogs.

My dad was off on Friday, and he was already going to the Disney area with my Mom so he had no problem getting everyone into the park!  I had to stay home with Grace for two reasons: 1. We did not have enough tickets and 2. She would just slow them down!

They left the house bright and early and headed out to conquer disney!  They started at Epcot cause it is the most convent park to get into but headed right over to the Magic Kingdom where Blase showed them everything he loves!!

 Blase loves the rockets!

 Aiden was not so sure!

They made sure to hit all the high notes on the park and then they headed back to Epcot.  They got fish and chips in England (my favorite!) and then got a great spot of the fireworks!  When the car finally got home around 10:30 or so there were 3 really worn out adults and 2 passed out children!
I am so happy that we were able to take Aiden to Disney for the first time!

Mom Challenge Week 2

Welcome to week 2 of the Mom challenge!! How did everyone do with week 1?  I actually did really good although a lot of that had to do with the fact that we had family staying with us (blog to follow).  But even before they got here we were doing really good.

This week is Slow down!  How many times do you actually miss something fun with the kids because you had to do the dishes or a load of laundry!?  I know that I am guilty of this!  I often will let them play on their own so I can finish cleaning the kitchen or do the laundry.  I guess if no one is coming over what is the harm in doing it during nap time or after they go to bed.

We got a blow up pool at the end of the season last year and Blase has been begging to go out there every day and yet i come up with reasons why we can't!  This week I am going to make an effort to take them both outside at least 3 times this week.  Plus, it is a win, win!  We get to be outside together but it also wears them out so that means early bed time!!

What will you do this week to slow down?

Blase's Birthday Weekend!

Mr. Blase has had quite the long birthday week! LOL He reminds me of myself! I have Danielle-a-paloza and he is following in my footsteps! Thursday we brought cookies to school and they sang happy birthday to him and made him a special birthday crown.  Then on Friday, his actual birthday we went to Ikea and he got to play in the playroom which he was thrilled about and then had Menchies for lunch!  Saturday, was his birthday party and we had a big pool party at our house.  Finally, Sunday, when Mimi got out of work she came over to the house to watch Grace so Mommy and Daddy could take him out for a special Birthday Dinner!
Last year all he wanted to do was eat dinner with T-Rex so this year we decided it would be fun to do a character dinner.  Well of course i do not think about these things till his birthday is here so all the GREAT character dinners were full (i am setting a reminder in my phone for next year).  So we ended up getting reservations at Garden Grove in the Swan.  It was not worth the money! The food was horrible and it said online that there was going to be 4 characters (chip, dale, pluto, and goofy) but only Pluto and Goofy were there.  Jason was so looking forward to the Southern BBQ menu but the food was over cooked and just warm.  We were not impressed at all and Blase was upset that Chip and Dale were not there but ultimately he had a great time and that is all that matters!
Here are some pictures from this weekend! Enjoy!

It has been a little while since I have blogged!
Life has been a little hectic and busy but nothing the beach cannot fix!  On Monday of last week the girls were all going to the beach with their kiddos.  I was going to skip cause Jason was actually off and I hate leaving him on his days off but he said that he would keep Grace so Blase and I could go and have fun.  Well, Blase is totally my child!  He is a fish!  He loved playing in the sand and running in and out of the water.  I guess I forgot just how "close" the beach is to us.  On Friday Jason was not scheduled to go into work till 6pm so I convinced him that we should take a little trip down the shore!!  Blase was thrilled!  This was going to be Grace's 2nd trip to the beach.  She went when she was a newborn when we went to Tradewinds.  So we loaded up the car and headed to the beach!

When we got there we headed down and set up our chairs. Mr. Blase was on his way to the ocean without a second thought.  The seas were a little rough because of the wind so he did not go that far at all.  Miss Grace on the other hand was not at all impressed with the sand and water!  She was pretty freaked out.

We ended up sitting right on the edge of the water Blase and Daddy were building sand castles and Grace was testing out the sand.  She eventually started to warm up to it but would freak anytime the water hit her feet!  It was pretty funny!  I packed my book (Fifty Shades Darker) but did not really get to read at all.  After a few hours we headed home so we could shower and eat before Daddy had to head to work.

The upside of the beach was the fact that Grace went to bed at 6pm and slept all night! Blase put himself to bed at 7pm.  So after they went to bed I got to read!
